Scientific Editorial Artwork

This work is based on an article that is about the idea that the presence of fluoride in our tap water may be lowering our IQ. The shapes are designed to express the idea of amoebas that you find in water. I chose colors that make the design feel fun and quirky, so as to reflect the idea that the purpose of the article is to learn about science. I used the question marks in such a way so as to add an element of depth to the work. The use of drop shadow is meant to accent that feeling of depth. I tried to further that sense of depth by placing the lower corner of the square underneath the amoeba shape. This artwork was made using Adobe Illustrator.
