I originally studied Technical Communications at Minnesota State University, Mankato.  After getting some real world experience, I then decided to pursue Graphic Design at Dakota County Technical College.  ​I have always had an attraction and appreciation for both the formal and creative aspects of graphic design.  However, my actual influence for delving into graphic design is my background in music.​  When it comes to graphic design, I see the same co-mingling of elements that play off of each other to create things like contrast, unity, and harmony.  There are countless ways to complete a design just like there are countless ways to accomplish writing a song.  ​My ultimate desire is to create works that are well-spoken at the same time as being unique.  This approach is reflective of the attitude that I bring into making music.
