Book Cover

This work is a cover for the book "Animal Farm" by George Orwell. My goal was to have the image reflect the idea that the animals in the book are seeking order. This is done through the positioning of the animals in the shadow, while in the background you can see a clearly lit landscape. The text is supposed to give the impression of words that have been carved into the bark of a tree. I want the text and the art to give the sense that they are in a reciprocal relationship. I want this work to give the suggestion that the animals find their calm through discovering their order on the farm. This book cover was created using Adobe Illustrator.
