Children's Book Cover

This work was created to be a cover for a children's book called "The Frog Princess". The general idea was the make the frog look happy to be sitting in the middle of a crown. I wanted the eyes to make the frog look like she is eagerly waiting for the right partner to come along. I figured that the three hearts underneath the crown should be purple to represent the idea of royalty. The mass of question marks that are falling from the sky are meant to create a sense of both anticipation and wonder. I applied a free-form gradient to the background to give it a splashy quality. This book cover was designed using Adobe Illustrator.
